Our Team
Galicia Commissioning Group was formed to support architects and developers, meet new green building code and stringent California building codes. Galicia and Associates believe that having a diverse team is the main component and driving force in developing the best risk mitigation plan. We provide our clients with peace of mind, by providing them with 24/7 access to all team members in the event an urgent matter arises. Our in-house IT partner has designed all working stations to be mobile, using the latest cloud-based service available. Clients can access their projects 24/7 online, and view our live project managing system. Accessibility, support and transparency is our platform.
Ray Galicia P.E., CxA, LEED GA, MSME, MBA, Commissioning Authority
Mr. Galicia brings over 20 years of mechanical and electrical experience.
Mr. Galicia began his career as an HVAC service technician where he learned to troubleshoot and diagnose systems. Mr. Galicia continued his education by earning multiple degrees in engineering while finishing his journeyman training. Mr. Galicia has worked in many sectors of the building industry. His expertise is in buildings energy management controls, HVAC, electrical and emergency generators. Over his career, Mr. Galicia has held titles as a regional technical advisor, application engineer, professor of HVAC and energy systems, mechanical designer and commissioning authority.
During Mr. Galicia, 20-year career span he has worked with manufacturers, consulting firms, emergency energy response firms, engineering and commissioning firms. Mr. Galicia also holds an MBA degree and multiple credentials. As a Commissioning Authority, he brings a wide range of technical background and awareness of asset risk management. Mr. Galicia gives direction to the technical team and emphasizes on protecting the client's return on investment by assuring the energy systems will perform as designed intended and by reducing the unforeseen additional construction cost to the project.
Francisco Ruiz, EIT, MSME
Francisco brings over ten years of Mechanical Engineering experience and over 15 years of operations manager experience.
Francisco began his career operating all aspects of his father's business. He managed to grow their company and open multiple offices both domestic and international. At the same time, he continued his education where he obtained his Bachelor’s degree and shortly followed his Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Francisco has had many years of experience running simultaneous projects and overseen them to full completion. His expertise includes project planning, procurement, writing standards, procedure documentation, client relationship, safety procedures, research and development, cost analysis, and prototype testing.
As Commissioning team manager for Galicia Commissioning Group, Francisco provides coordination between the team and clients. Francisco concentrates on the lean operation, maintenance and reliability of each building. His concentration areas are in California T-24 reports, Computational fluids dynamics (CFD) Analysis, Vibrations Analysis, ASHRAE Building Audits. He oversees that at the end of the project the commissioning team has produced a standardized and comprehensible documentation to assist future or current building engineers.
Mario Mendez, MSIT
Mr. Mendez has been integrating both technology and up-to-date marketing strategies into everyday business practices for over 5 years.
Mr. Mendez has a degree in Mathematics from the University of California, Riverside and a Masters in Information Technology from the University of Redlands. Through hard work and dedication, he also taught himself different areas of web development. Focusing both on the front and back end development, he has developed an eye for details. In addition to web development, Mr. Mendez enjoys mentoring entrepreneurs and small business owners to develop an awareness of current information technology. Through his career as a web developer, Mr. Mendez has had the honor of working with a world-renowned motivational public speakers, a wide range of start-up companies, and school districts.
Mr. Mendez extensive background in education and technology is at the core when training employees on the best marketing and business development practices. Mr. Mendez mentors companies on how to develop marketing plans and implement a variety strategies for launching and developing efficiency. We are proud to have a partner like Mr. Mendez, assuring we are up to date with current technology but more importantly using it efficiently and effectively.
Marisa Tijerina, MBA
Possesses over 20+ years of business and financial experience.
Accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company, and reports financial results to the board of directors. She oversees budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow for administration, existing programs, and new proposed commissioning contracts.
In 2015, she graduated from California State University, San Bernardino and obtained a Masters Degree in Business Administration. She is currently working toward her Doctorate Degree.
Her goals are to provide leadership in the accomplishment of capital structure, risk management, and research and development in addition to working closely with the senior management team in the development of financial and operational strategies.
